2024 AGM results

The BIAS AGM took place on Wednesday 13th November 2024 at the Gtech Community Stadium. The meeting was also broadcast on Zoom.

The Agenda for the meeting covered a review of the BIAS Annual Report circulated to all members. This detailed the activity and achievements of the BIAS Executive Committee during the reporting period (1 June 2023 to 31 May 2024).

The meeting also provided an update on the BIAS Finances and Membership.

The following motions were also approved at the meeting:

  1. Approval of Minutes from AGM meeting held 15 November 2023
  2. Approval to adopt Committee Annual Report for the year ending 31 May 2024
  3. Approval to continue free membership for further 12 months
  4. Approval of Financial Accounts for year ending 31 May 2024
  5. Approval to retain Jim Walsh as Independent Auditor of BIAS Accounts

The meeting also elected the following Executive Committee members:

  1. Jordan Nugara
  2. Taylor Dawson
  3. Michael Johnston
  4. Panit Tolkildsen
  5. Chris Richings
  6. Mark Chapman
  7. Christian Harper

The following Executive Committee Members stepped down with effect from the AGM:

  1. Ronald Mansveld
  2. Ben Bland
  3. Richard Kirchner
  4. Andy Griffin

Thanks were recorded for the hard work and dedication shown during their respective times on the committee.

Following the decision by Adam Hobbs to step down as Chair of BIAS with effect from the AGM, the meeting welcomed existing Executive Committee Member Angelo Basu as the new Chair of BIAS.

In accordance with the terms of the BIAS constitution, the Executive Committee voted unanimously at their meeting on 12 August to appoint Angelo Basu as Adam’s successor with effect from 13 November. Adam will remain on the Executive Committee to help with the handover process.

Work has already started on planning BIAS priorities for next year. We are currently collating the feedback from our membership survey and we would like to than you all for your views.
