A 32-year-old man has been charged with murder following a fatal stabbing in Hanwell last year.
Fayne Newman, of Humes Avenue, Hanwell, was arrested on Monday 9th February 2026—just one day before the first anniversary of the attack. He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court this morning (12th February) charged with the murder of 33-year-old Dariusz Serafin.
At around 22:15 on 10th February 2025, police were called to The Grosvenor pub on Oaklands Road after Dariusz stumbled into the premises suffering from serious knife wounds. Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was pronounced dead at the scene. In a statement shared shortly after his death, Dariusz’s family said: “Dariusz, known for his boundless empathy and loving spirit for people and animals, touched everyone he met with his kindness and compassion. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved.
“In his honour, his family urges everyone to help end senseless knife crime in the streets of London, and to assist in bringing the person responsible for his death to justice. Rest peacefully, Dariusz.” Over the past year, homicide detectives from the Met’s Major Investigation Team have conducted extensive enquiries.
The Met’s enquiries into the Dariusz’s death are ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to call police on 101, quoting CAD 7176/10FEB25.
To mark the one-year anniversary of the attack, the independent charity Crimestoppers issued a ‘most wanted’ appeal for Siavosh Mohammad-Khani, offering a £10,000 reward for information leading to his arrest. Information can also be provided anonymously, via Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111.
