Double award nod for west London music experts

Two stars from the London College of Music (LCM) have secured spots on the prestigious Music Producers Guild (MPG) 2026 Awards longlist. Senior Lecturer Paula Wolfe and graduate Inaki Concepcion have been recognised for the second year running, highlighting west London’s growing influence in the global music industry.

The MPG was started and is supported by producers, mixers, recording engineers, re-mixers and programmers who are passionate about all aspects of making and recording music. It aims to support members in their careers, campaign for the rights of music industry workers, promote diversity within the industry and to celebrate the achievements of members.

Senior Lecturer in Music Technology Dr Paula Wolfe is up for Self-Producing Artist of The Year for the track ‘Wind’ from the complete re-working of her debut album ‘Staring’ (Sib Records 2024).

Paula said: “To have made the longlist two years running means everything to me, as an artist-producer first as well as for the validation it offers what has been a longstanding passion for the creative potential afforded by the practice of self-production.”
MA Record Production graduate Inaki Concepcion has been longlisted for the Breakthrough Producer of the Year for the second year running for 'Only Matters' by friend and BA (Hons) Music Management graduate Cevan Cole.

Inaki has also been longlisted for Breakthough Engineer of the Year for 'She Plays for Time' (Live at Paragon Studios) by Mutual Blue which he recorded for one of his assessments at UWL last year.

Inaki said: "It’s an honour to be nominated for the second year in a row next to such unbelievable talent. I am truly grateful. I owe it to UWL after the amazing year that I’ve just spent working on my Masters. To all my tutors and colleagues, thank you!"

MPG members can vote for Paula and Inaki until Monday 16th February.

The Music Producers Guild (MPG) 2026 Awards Ceremony will take place on 16th April 2026.
