A 34-year-old man from Hayes has been charged after a high-speed collision in Harlington on Saturday night left two passengers fighting for their lives.
Police were called to High Street, Harlington at around 23:30 on Saturday 21st February to reports a brown Mercedes AMG S63 had left the road and collided with a fence. No other vehicle was involved.
Officers attended with the London Ambulance Service. Paramedics took three men to hospital, where the two passengers – both men aged in their 20s and 30s – remain in a critical condition.
The driver, Manveer Mastana, was arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop. He was taken to hospital with non-life threatening or life-changing injuries and was later discharged.
Mastana, 34, of Ashford Avenue, Hayes, has since been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving and failing to stop. He is due to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 24th February.
Officers are investigating the collision and have asked for anyone with information or dashcam footage of the collision to contact police.
Detective Sergeant Fiaz Janjua, of the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “Our thoughts are with everyone affected by this collision.
“Our investigation is ongoing, and we continue to review relevant CCTV footage. We are appealing to the public for assistance and ask that anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police as soon as possible. Any information could be helpful.”
