The British Transport Police (BTP) have released CCTV images of a man sought in connection with a violent double assault on a Jubilee line service near Westminster during the morning commute.

At around 9.55am on Wednesday 4th February, on board service near Westminster, a man sat on a seat opposite the victim and started gesticulating toward him.

The man asked him what he was saying. He then jumped up and assaulted the victim, punching him repeatedly in the head.

Other passengers intervened to separate the two men, before he launched a second assault on the victim.

The victim attended hospital and received treatment for bruising and cuts to his face, head and shoulder.

Officers believe the man in the image may have information that can help their investigation.
