Man charged with murder of Tai Folkes in Battersea

A 46-year-old man from Lambeth has been charged with the murder of 25-year-old Tai Folkes following a fatal stabbing in Battersea. Asher Edwards was arrested in Birmingham on Monday and is scheduled to appear at Wimbledon Magistrates' Court today (11th March).
Police were called at 18:12 on Monday 2nd March to reports that a man had been stabbed during an altercation between a group of men on Thessaly Road, Battersea.

Officers attended with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service. Tai was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital where he was sadly pronounced deceased.

His family are being supported by specialist officers.

Edwards, of Hemans Street, was charged with murder on Tuesday 10th March.
