A 31-year-old man is due to appear in court this morning charged with the murder of teenager Berkan Demir, who was fatally stabbed in Hammersmith on Sunday.
Ahmed Said, of Lena Gardens, Hammersmith will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court at 10:00.
Police had been called at 17:58 to reports of a stabbing at a residential address in Lena Gardens. Officers responded with the London Ambulance Service and found two men with stab wounds.
Despite the efforts of first responders, Berkan Demir, aged 18, sadly died at the scene.
His family have asked for privacy at this time.
A post-mortem examination took place on Tuesday 17th March and confirmed the cause of death as sharp force trauma to the left side of the neck.
Detectives from the Met's Specialist Crime Command continue to lead the investigation.
