British Transport Police have released CCTV images following a violent incident on the Piccadilly line involving racist and homophobic abuse.
Just after midnight on Thursday 26th February, a man travelling between Acton Town and Osterley began acting aggressively, directing a series of hate-filled remarks toward a young woman. When a fellow passenger stepped in to defend her, a fight broke out. The intervenor sustained minor injuries before the suspect disembarked at Osterley Underground station.
Acting on intelligence and station footage, officers are now appealing to the public to identify the man pictured, as they believe he holds vital information regarding the investigation.
Anyone who recognises him or witnessed the incident is asked to contact BTP by texting 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, quoting reference number 10 of 26 February.
